“Okay, tomorrow.”

“I’m going to give you my address. Let’s say you show up at five so we can talk first.”

“That sounds good.” He was more at ease now.

I reached into the front seat of my car and grabbed the spiral notebook that was on the passenger seat. I was quite sure he was checking out my ass. I turned back to him. I removed the ballpoint pen that was clipped on the notebook. I jotted my address on it. I ripped the paper from the notebook and handed it over to him.

I tossed the notebook back into the passenger seat. I reached into the middle console and grabbed my spare housekey. I handed it to him. He looked down at it.

“Here’s the key. Just come right in. I sometimes can’t hear the door when I’m upstairs. Take the key.”

He looked into my eyes and took the key from my hand. “Just show up and come in?”

“Yes, Mr. Cavil. I live alone. Do you want me to call you Jeremy or Mr. Cavil?”

“You’ve been doing a great job of interchanging the two. Selita which do you prefer?”

“I prefer Mr. Cavil.” In class, on campus and possibly in the bedroom but Jeremy works when I’m trying to get my way.

“This is strange.” He mused.

“I think it’s sexy.”

He smiled. He has really great teeth. “Until tomorrow.” He kissed me again unexpectedly. I tried to give as much as I could but his kisses stole my breath away and made me light-headed. He was an excellent choice.

When he released me. He watched me get into my car. He closed my driver’s door and raised his palm. He didn’t wave. He just raised his palm. He’s one of those people, the people that do that. I like those kinds of people.

When he got into his truck I pulled out of the lot. I’m excited. He makes me feel excited.

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT

I heard Mr. Cavil’s old Jeep when he pulled into my driveway. I think he needs a tune up. He entered the house with the key I gave him. This place was a little more than a house and I wondered if he would make a big deal out of it.

He slowly entered the kitchen. I manned the stove but I could feel his presence behind me. I could feel his eyes survey my body. I turned toward him as his blue eyes darted around the room drinking in the scenery.

He was wearing blue jeans and loafers. He sported a gray thermal shirt with three buttons on the front in between his pectorals. I could see his muscles in his chest. He never wore form-fitting clothes. I felt special because he had this on just for me. He had a great body but just like me he hid it. His sandy brown hair was unruly and overdo for a haircut.

I couldn’t help but to grin at him. “Did you have a hard time finding the place?”

“No, no, I know someone that lives near here.” He skillfully pushed my housekey into his front pocket instead of handing it over. He thinks I missed it but I didn’t. Clever Professor.

“You know someone that lives in Brookline?”

“Yes but they live a few minutes away. Not too close to this place.” He looked around the room. “Whatever you’re making smells delicious.”

I rushed over to him and planted a kiss on his cheek. This surprised him. I scurried around him to remove his jacket. I left him standing idle. I placed his jacket in the hall closet by the door. He was standing where I left him when I returned.

“This place is huge.”

“Um, it’s temporary. I’m here for as long as I’m in college.” I shrugged. “Mr. Cavil, make yourself at home. Dinner will be ready in ten minutes.”

He watched me walk back to the stove. “Did you furnish this place yourself?”

“No, it came this way. I just brought a few clothes from home.”

“Where is home again?”

“California.” We have a place in Florida, Japan, New York and Colombia but he doesn’t have to know everything about me. I have secrets. I like secrets.

“So you’re renting this place?”

“Yes.”

“It has to cost a fortune.”

“Depends on what you think is a fortune.” I smirked. “Look around. I will meet your in the dining room in ten minutes. I left a bottle of wine on the table. Have some.” I dismissed him. He needed to get comfortable here in my home.

He paused for a few seconds before he left me alone in the kitchen.

After about ten minutes I entered the dining room with our plates in hand. He was waiting there for me. He was sitting at the head of the table. I liked that he took that chair. It meant something about his perception of himself.

“So Selita.”

“So Mr. Cavil.”

“We eat and we talk.” He looked up at me and stood.

Get naked and fuck. “Yes.” I smiled.

“What are we having for dinner?” He asked as he pulled out my chair.

“I made chicken alfredo? It’s one dish I prepare quite well.”

“Great. You look really nice tonight.”

“Thank you.” I was wearing a navy blue dress that showed off my curves, cleavage and ass. I thought of wearing white but that would make me look too virginal and black too much like a vixen. So basic blue is what I went for. Men like the color blue. I like the color red. He can find that out when he peels off my clothes. I placed his hot plate in front of him on the table. I whirled around and grabbed my plate. I sat it across from him and took my seat. He sat down after I did. He was a true gentleman.

“It looks delicious.”

“Dig in.” I smiled across the table. Dinner with a man felt odd. I always ate alone or with Father.

“Do you have any idea how old I am?”

“Yes.” I checked him out thoroughly. I knew everything about him, personal, medical, employment, financial and family. I even knew about his cheating wife and her new lover.

“I’m thirty-five. I’m fifteen years older than you.”

“Yes but you have all your hair. So you can take seven years off your age.”

He grinned. He found that amusing. “I have four gray hairs on my left side near my ear.”

“Are you trying to back out of my preposition?”

“No, I’m trying to gage whether you thought this through. Have you ever thought about saving yourself for someone you love.”

“I don’t believe in love.”

He lowered his fork to gaze at me. “You are far too young to be so cynical. I’m the one that has recently got my heart ripped out.”

He reached for the bottle of wine and poured some into his glass. He decided not to put any in my glass and I took note of it. I decided to pour some for myself.

“Selita, you’re not old enough to drink.”

I swirled the wine around in the glass and then took a long sip. “Sometimes you are so cute Mr. Cavil.”

“I’m not being cute. I’m being serious. I just want all your decisions tonight to be yours.”

“They will be. I do everything in moderation. I know how much is too much. I have seen things in my life that you wouldn’t believe. I am wise beyond my years. That’s not a line. It’s the truth.

.”

“Okay.”

We ate in silence for minutes and stole glances at each other. It was a rather sensual meal. We smiled at each other between bites and the fire was an apparent. This was a mutual attraction.

“Mr. Cavil, I want to ask you something personal.”

“I think everything we’ve talked about so far has been personal.” He lowered his fork.

“When did your wife leave?”

“It’s been six months.”

I guess that. “Do you miss her?”

“At first I did. Then I realized that I just didn’t want to lose at marriage and being a husband. I didn’t want to lose the time. You know the years I put into loving her. It just all seems like such a damn waste.”

“A waste maybe but it could be a lesson. A new start to a new life where you can be who you want to be. You can say and do whatever you want without reservation.”

“That’s a youthful way to look at it.”

“It’s the way I was when I came here I decided to leave that old life behind.”

“Selita your life couldn’t have been that bad.”

“No, not bad just completely different. I’m free when I’m here in Boston.”

“You are a special person, unique really. It makes me wonder what California Selita was like.”

I didn’t have plans on divulging anything about my life in Cali. It was time to change the subject.

“I know your wife was cheating. Why did she leave?”

“I will never know for sure. Women are as complicated to me now as they were at sixteen. I think she wanted a child. I’m sterile. One childhood illness and my little swimmers all drown. I just can’t have kids.”

“Did she know this before you married?”

“Yes but she lied. She actually said I work too much but I think it was the baby thing. She either lied or changed her mind during the course of our marriage. All woman what to be mothers and I’m useless in that regard.”

“Well I don’t want children. I have no desire to be a mother”

He chuckled. “You’re twenty. How would you know at this point in your life.”

“I know what I want. A baby never factors into my future plans.”

Jeremy gulped down the remaining wine in his glass. “You are a very mysterious young woman. What are your future plans after college?”

“I will pass the bar and work at a firm. My father will give me a few years in a regular job.”

“Then what?”

“Then I will go work for my him.”

“By the size of this place your father must be pretty successful.”

“He is a very successful business man but I have my own money.”

“You have a job?”

“I’ve earned money freelancing for my father.” Tracking people, hacking into his associates’ personal files, doing his books and various other tasks. Father paid me like I was an employee. He said he would have paid someone to do it anyway. Mr. Cavil doesn’t have to know that.

“What does your father do?”

“Many things. He has businesses in the states and Japan.”

“Do you have siblings?”

I would never claim Takeo to an outsider. “No, I’m an only child.”

“You’re an only child and your father let you come to Cambridge all alone?”

“I had to beg but I’m here.”

“What about your mother?”

“My biological mother is dead. I’m adopted. Why didn’t you and your wife try to adopt?”

“I wanted to adopt but I think it was easier for her to just find another man.”

“Easier maybe but not really very smart.”

“Depends on how you look at it.”

“You’re a good man, loyal, passionate. I’m not feeding your ego. She’s an idiot.”

“I agree. She’s an idiot and a slut.”

I laughed. “I was adopted and I turned out great.”

“Yeah I’m sure your parents are proud.”

“I only have an adopted father. As soon as your divorce is final you can find a suitable woman but in the mean time you can have fun.”

“That’s what you are? We are in the meantime?”

“Yes.”

“You’re not afraid.”

“Of what?”

“Being hurt or developing feelings, falling in love. It’s not like you’ve had sexual relations before. Correct?”

“You are correct.” I giggled. Feelings were the least of my concerns. “No, I don’t fear anything or anyone.”

He looked at me like he was trying to figure me out. I’ve had that look placed on me many times before. I had grown accustomed to it.

“You are an enigma.”

“Yes I am. I will clear the dishes and then I can show you the rest of the house.” I stood and grabbed the empty plates before he could study my behavior or me any further. I know that I am hard to read. I was back quickly. I took his hand and he followed me as I took him on the tour.

We ended the tour in the master bedroom.

“Sit.” I ordered and he sat on the edge of the bed. I bent and removed his shoes. I removed my shoes. “Back up.”

He scooted back toward the headboard. I hiked up me dress. I climbed on the bed and straddled him while he rested on his forearms.

“Selita you are truly beautiful.”

That came from out of nowhere. I smiled. “Thank you, truly.”

“I mean you could have any man you want.”

“Really, I want you.”

“I think you have me.” His lips parted and I went in to kiss him. I grabbed his cheeks with my palms and held him to me. He took over the kiss they way he did yesterday. I wondered if this expert kissing ability came from his age, his years of marriage or his pure tongue skills.

He broke our kiss to gather his thoughts. I rubbed my face into his cheek. I wanted more. “Do you have to lose your virginity on this particular day?” He whispered into my ear.

“No of course not.” But my panties were so wet. Mr. Cavil please break off a piece of my KitKat bar.

“Can we just get acquainted? I haven’t talked to you outside of class but twice. I believe.”
