Life Moves On

Will popped out of the purple hole outside his castle. Why did he just do that?! He just left his friends, not knowing if he’ll ever see them again! And what about Chrissy?! Will was such an idiot.

The idiot looked up at his castle. Now it was time for this idiot to tell his mother about his father’s death.

Chrissy was feverishly opening and shutting the mysterious book. “Gimme that!” Stella shouted, taking the book and putting it back in her purse, “Will is back in Everlanon, where he belongs, and you, Chrissy Price, need to get to Hollywood! Go now! Reclaim your career!”

Taken aback, Chrissy took out her almost-dead phone and dialed her mom’s number. Nothing. “I’m going to go to the nearest police station.” Chrissy announced, “They’ll get me back to CA.” James was now wide-awake and ready to help.

“I’ll take you.” he volunteered, walking her in the right direction, “I am the police chief anyway.”

Chrissy waved to her friends and walked away with Cassie’s dad, hoping she’ll see Will again someday.

      “What was
that
about!” Cassie and Charlie asked Stella in unison. “I don’t trust her.” she admitted, walking in the direction of her skyscraper home, “TTYL!!!”

Charlie and Cassie watched as Stella walked away. “So, Vanessa,” Cassie began, crouching down next to her siblings, “Is it all over this time?” Vanessa looked at Vander and smiled. “The end is only the beginning!” she chirped excitedly, “For now, let’s go home!”

Following the twins’ advice, the group all walked their separate ways through the partially wrecked city and to their homes. “So,” Charlie began as they walked back to Cassie’s apartment, “what now?” “Now,” Cassie replied, pausing for a corny dramatic effect, “we move on with life, go to school, learn stuff, graduate, go to college, and who knows what else

“I kinda meant about us.” Charlie sniggered, nudging his girlfriend. Cassie pecked him on the cheek and whispered, “We’ll see!”

Across the city, in the surprisingly unaffected Hendersonian Building, Judy walked up to her boss’s personal secretary. “I need to speak with the Boss.” she explained, “Spencer escaped.”

“She knows.” the secretary assured, “Charlotte wouldn’t have gotten away if she didn’t want her too. You should know by now the Boss always gets what she wants!”

Inside her office, the seventy-five-year-old met with who she wished would be her new employee. “As much as I want to make deals, I’m definitely not joining
you!
” Electra asserted, standing up from her seat, “I tried teamwork once, and it didn’t work. The others might have joined you, but you can bet your Mama’s whiskers that I won’t! I’ll find my own way of revenge, and it won’t take years, or even months!”

As Electra began to wave her hand, the woman added, “Do as you wish, but remember, dear; good things come to those who wait!” The woman’s final action was the appearance of a malevolent smile as Electra vanished in a swirl of blue mist.

Will walked into the throne room. “Mother?” he called, looking around, “I’m home.”

“William!” Graciella shouted, running into the room, “I was so worried! Wait, where’s your father?” “Death.” Will stated, “A witch named Mother Nature killed him because he kept her from killing Cassie’s family, but he’s gone now, so what now?”

“Now you become king.” the Elder One explained, walking in the room, “Sorry to interrupt, but Everlanon cannot last forever without a ruler. We need to begin the planning for your coronation immediately. The royal ball! And your wedding! It is time for the Everlanon heirs to finally take their throne!”
