She pouted and tried to pull
off my dick that was still buried inside her.

glare and pulled out helping her down off the table.

thing where she thinks that if she says it all fast and together I
wouldn’t get it. I took the hit to the gut and I think I lost all
feeling in my body for a split second. I could feel Kat tense up
when I came back to my senses.

“Get the yellow pages Kat.”
She lifted her head off my chest to look down at me.

“The yellow pages, what

“There has to be a convent
in this state, one that’s close enough that we can visit whenever

“Oh Colton, it’s going to be
okay.” She tried to put her head back down but I was up and moving.
I threw on my robe and left the room, walking down the hallway
until I got to my princess’s door. I eased it open quietly and
looked in. She was asleep curled up on her side, her hands folded
under her cheek, legs drawn up to her chest. The sleep of the
innocent; I walked father into the room and stood over her, the way
I did when she was a newborn babe. Tears gathered at the corners of
my eyes as I brushed the hair back from her forehead and bent to
kiss her little head. “Sleep tight princess.”

I turned to leave the room
my heart full.

“I love you too princess.” I
hope she heard me because there was something in my throat. My wife
was standing in the softly lit hallway waiting for me. She gave me
a smile before reaching her arm out for mine.

“Come on honey, let’s go to
bed.”

this shit. I just told her I was going to let her go out with that
runt as long as there were rules, well now…”

“Colt, you can’t go back on
your word; your rule, remember?”

“Fuck okay. Well the rules
have changed, she’s not allowed out anywhere with him unless you or
I are there.”

“Colton, you
can’t”

“Dem’s the breaks Kat, and
come to think of it, I don’t know if I can trust your sneaky ass,
so we better make that just with me.”

“Colton, that’s insulting.
Now let’s get some sleep and we’ll talk about it some more in the
morning.”

“Kat, there’s nothing to
talk about. Those are the rules, along with some others, but those
aren’t as important. Now promise me I never have to go through this
shit again. I don’t like all these changes and shit. You’ve been
doing this fuckery to me for fourteen damn years.”

“Colton, calm
down.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down.
Every time I get used to one thing, you spring something else on
me. Now you’ve got your damn kids doing it too.” I know she was
rolling her damn eyes but I give a fuck, a man can only take so
much.

“Is she okay Kat, she didn’t
have those cramp things did she?”

“No, she was fine. I’m
taking her to the doctor Monday afternoon.”

“Why, what’s
wrong?”

“Nothing’s wrong, we’re just
going to make sure everything’s as it should be.”

“Don’t put my kid on any
pills and bullshit Kat.”

“I’m not you nut, we’re just
going to have a regular checkup. My mom took me when I started
mine.”

“Oh ok, I don’t want to talk
about this shit anymore, it’s giving me a headache.”

“Ok, but just think, in a
few years, we’ll be doing this again with Catalina.”
